History

In 2006, I collaborated with colleagues to develop a media-based advocacy program to highlight the artistic and academic achievement of Long Island's twelfth grade students.

With the help of the Long Island Arts Alliance, Newsday, school district officials and financiers, the Long Island Scholar Artist Program introduced students in the fall of 2007. Since then, over 600 students have received recognition for their talents in Dance, Media Arts, Music, Theater, and Visual Arts.
